Where to eat/drink:
We’ve got some tasty news to wet your whistle just in time for the holidays! SweetWater is debuting an all-new winter seasonal from their Catch & Release lineup that just hit shelves and taps throughout the Southeast on Dec. 1. Keep your eyes peeled for Spinnerbait – a Belgian red ale.
Did you know I spent my birthday at Johnny’s Hideaway this year? Well…I did. And it was awesome. Luckily, Ron Barber and Johnny Esposito, Jr., son of the late founder of the legendary Johnny’s, has #blessed Buckhead with its latest destination, Buckhead Tavern, set to open in the Eclipse Buckhead Condominium development (at the corner of Pharr Road and North Fulton) on Thursday, December 18. What are they serving? DOES IT MATTER? Ok, it’s contemporary tavern fare. #Johnnysyo
Chefs Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere are excited about their new location of Bantam + Biddy at Lenox Square Mall! While the Lenox Square Mall location has the same delicious menu options (many of the items are gluten-free) – this location has a caffeinated bonus: an espresso bar serving Batdorf & Bronson coffee.
Le Bilboquet, located in the center of Buckhead, is now serving lunch (including a signature lobster salad – my fav!) They are also planing to launch a Sunday brunch menu later this year – bloody mary anyone? They are located at 3035 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30305. Dinner is available Sunday to Thursday from 5 to 10:30 p.m., and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Le Bilboquet is now open daily for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ever wondered where you can spend the most money possible on one single drink? Me neither – but we’ve got the answer for you anyway! Atlanta’s most expensive cocktail, the Barrel of Jewels can be found at Article 14! Served up in a crystal whiskey glass, this $99 cocktail mixes Louis XIII Cognac, Lock, Stock & Barrel straight rye whiskey, Carpano Antica Formula vermouth, St. Germain and bitters. Start saving your pennies!
What to do:
It’s no secret our husbands are HUGE fans of Bonobos, and so are we considering how great they look in their tailored colored chinos #lawdhavemercy! We’ve been talking about the opening of the Bonobos Guideshop for MONTHS, and the opening is finally right around the corner…as in TOMORROW! So what makes this store different? Basically everything. Guys have the opportunity to try on the clothes before you buy them! No crowds. One-on-one service. Then the product is delivered right to their door. Plus, rumor has it they give you beer. We’re stopping by the store for sneak peek tonight and will report back on what we find.
Treat yo’ self! Atlanta favorite, White Salon and Spa, is getting a major facelift moving into the new year! The lead stylist, Max Sanchez (master and a senior stylist for the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Wynn Las Vegas and Los Angeles’ Beverly Hills Hotel,) has worked on notable names like Meryl Streep, Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton, Lisa Marie Presley and the Queen Rania of Jordan. If it’s good enough for a queen…head over to 2973 Grandview Ave NE.
For the 129th Year, Georgia’s Own Pearson Farm is in the midst of harvest season! The 5th generation farm consists of 1400 acres of peaches and 2300 acres of pecans. On the land they grow over 30 varieties of peaches and 15 varieties of pecans. Peach trees live for about 15 years, but at Pearson farm they have pecan trees that are over 100 years old. Pecan harvest season will run through December – so go stop by (Fort Vally is about 1.5 hours outside the city – but what a fun roadtrip!)
Is anyone already thinking about New Years Eve? We’ve got a couple ideas for you:
