Get your social calendars ready – we’ve got a round-up for you of some great events and activities going on in Atlanta this month!

  • Jeni’s Decatur Square Opening, Thursday, November 6th from 7-10pm: To celebrate the grand opening, they’re having a free ice cream party! Free scoops will be given from 7-10pm, and the first 50 guests in line will receive a special, limited edition poster, designed by the Jeni’s Splendid Art+Design team.   • Discover Spain at Vino Venue – A Wine & Cuisine Experience, Saturday, November 8th from 4-6pm: You can expect unlimited tastings of Spanish wine and cuisine. Nearly 100 wines from all of the key regions of Spain will be accompanied by samplings of Spanish cuisine—tapas & pintxos, cheeses, jamon, paella, ropa vieja, empanadas, flan, live chef stations and more.   • {CBG} Creative Studio, Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th: Presented by the Craft Box Girls and featuring over 50 handcrafted merchants, creative interior design displays, workshops, local food offerings and more at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC).   • Fancy Fried Chicken Dinner, Wednesday, November 12th at 6pm: Buttermilk Kitchen, our BELOVED brunch spot, is hosting aFancy Fried Chicken Dinner with all proceeds going to local nonprofit organization Bert’s Big Adventure. If you haven’t heard of BBA they provide all-expenses paid trips to Disney World for Atlanta-area children with chronic or terminal illnesses, and their families.   • Garden Lights at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Saturday, November 15th – Saturday, January 3rd: Garden Lights flips on with hot new colors to warm up the season! The fourth annual electrical extravaganza features spectacular light displays throughout the Garden. Come back to explore all new color schemes and the one-time-only appearance of giant Butterflies, a Unicorn, and Frogs from Imaginary Worlds. Favorites such as the Orchestral Orbs, Glittering Galaxy, Radiant Rainforest, and Model Trains continue to make the exhibition a must-see holiday tradition.   • Pink Barre Bridal Event, Wednesday, November 19th from 7-9pm: We’ve teamed up with Pink Barre, Chancey Charm Weddings and a bunch of other fabulous Atlanta wedding vendors and lifestyle experts to invite all our local Atlanta brides-to-be (or those thinking they might be getting a ring on their finger soon) to join us for an open house at Pink Barre Buckhead, where you can meet local wedding vendors, lifestyle experts and learn about Pink Barre’s bridal program. There will be small bites, drinks, raffles, and prized including free Pink Barre classes and a $500 gift card toward wedding planning services.   • Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse, Wednesdays and Sundays from November 19th to December 7th: White Oak Development presents tours featuring rooms designed by nationally and regionally acclaimed designers, an opening party, Moonlight & Mistletoe, a book-signing event, pop-up artisan marketplace, Boxwoods Boutique, and nearly a dozen festively designed tabletops by the city’s premier home and accessories boutiques.   • Thanksgiving Dinner at South City Kitchen, Thursday, November 27: Executive chef Chip Ulbrich and his teams at South City Kitchen Midtown and Vinings will prepare a traditional Southern Thanksgiving meal. The three-course prix fixe menu will feature Old Charleston she-crab soup with fresh cream and sherry, fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and sweet red pepper coulis, roasted turkey breast with giblet gravy, cornbread dressing, collard greens whipped potatoes and orange cranberry sauce, shrimp and “Red Mule” grits with Athens’ finest grits, tasso ham, poblano chilies and smoked tomato gravy, sweet potato & pumpkin pie, Southern chocolate pecan pie and more. Seats for Thanksgiving dinner are $45 for adults and $22.50 for children under 12.
