Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar – Tuesday, Oct. 28th,  Wednesday & Friday

Ease into Halloween mode by heading to Atkins Park on Tuesday, October 28 at 8 p.m. as project episodes of “The Simpson’s – Treehouse of Horror” on their big screen. Head back Wednesday night at 9 p.m. for a classic pumpkin carving contest and watch dark comedy “Army of Darkness” on the big screen while downing Terrapin Beer specials. House cash and Terrapin gear go to pumpkin carving champs. On Halloween night, Friday, October 31, dress to impress for Atkins Park’s annual Halloween costume contest. No trick, more than $500 in cash and prizes leave with the guests.

10th & Piedmont –  Costume Contests – October 31st-November 2nd

Mummies, don’t let your babies dress up to be cowboys for all three nights of 10th & Piedmont’s happening Halloween weekend. Midtown’s Halloween party headquarters is the stylin’ place to be for costume contests and entertainment, October 31-November 2. Each night, costume contest winners are treated to $300 cash for first place, $150 cash for second place and $50 cash for third place.

Cypress Street Pint & Plate – 80s Zombie Prom – October 31st, 8 p.m.

Walkers from across Atlanta will gather at Cypress Street Pint and Plate in their finest for Cypress 80s Zombie Prom. The coolest part? Makeup artists will provide guests with zombie “make-unders” so you can look the part! General admission is free and VIP tickets are available for $25 at http://www.cypressbar.com.

Winter Wren – Trick-o-Treat Halloween Celebration – October 31st, 6 p.m.

Don’t forget your furry friends on Halloween! Pups and humans alike can enjoy trick-or-treating, spooky cupcake decorating and a costume contest. All guests in costumes (or if guests are simply escorting their favorite little monsters or furry costumed friends) will receive 20% off all purchases that evening. Chipotle Boorito Costume Special – October 31st, 5 p.m. to closing

Chipotle will host its popular Halloween festivity, Boorito, at all Chipotle restaurants. Pumpkin Destruction Day – The Rock Ranch – November 1st, 10 a.m -8 p.m. Thousands of orange gourd enthusiasts will come together at The Rock Ranch, located about an hour south of Atlanta,  to demolish pumpkins in almost every way imaginable. Think  – shooting pumpkins out of cannons, dropping them out of airplanes onto a junk RV, crushing pumpkins with Monster trucks, etc. Their motto is “Smash it. Don’t Trash it,” when it comes to Halloween pumpkins. It keeps thousands of pumpkins out of landfills and they compost the pumpkin matter into fertilizer when they’re done. The Rock Ranch: 5020 Barnesville Hwy. The Rock, Ga.

Red Pepper Taqueria – Day of the Dead Celebration, November 1st, 5 p.m.

Don’t let the fun stop on the 31st – Head to Red Pepper Taqueria on Saturday as they celebrate Day of the Dead at both the Briarcliff and Buckhead locations. The fun includes live music, traditional decorations, specialty cocktails and $3 Harpoon UFO Pumpkin drafts.
