We’ve told you about our love of Southern Art before, and we’re back to share some new menu items that you just have to try! September is National Biscuit Month (no really it’s a thing) AND National Bourbon Month – two things that Southern Art hands down does the best.in.town., so that’s reason enough to head on over to indulge in their delightful biscuits and bourbon cocktails!
I had the opportunity to try out some of their new dishes a few weeks back and it was one of those things where everything I tried was just delish! Maybe the fact that I was starving had something to do with it, but I asked around and everyone else was in agreement that the food was just downright yummy. Chef Art has done it again!
Here are some highlights you MUST try if you plan to visit the restaurant soon and don’t forget to ask for the biscuits – enjoy!
The Fried Green Tomatoes are a winning starter and I want to put the Hot Pepper Jam on everything…
The Buttermilk Fried chicken is ALWAYS a win at Southern Art – you may even want to get one to share, so that everyone can have a bite or two.
The Chargrilled Hanger Steak with the Mustard Glaze is melt-in-your-mouth yummy and I couldn’t stop popping the sweet potato fries in my mouth.
Now, if you want to be on the healthier side (and maybe eat a few more biscuits), the Olive Oil Poached Salmon is light and fresh.
For cocktails, since it is Bourbon Month and all, give the new Johnny Appleseed a try – it’s made with Four Roses Small Batch, ginger syrup, merlet pear liquor and fresh lime juice.
They also have a cocktail collab going on with Coca-cola and Reidel, and these cocktails are super unique! Each one represents a different country and is made with Coca-cola products.
